TTV Amstelveen Open 2025 a great success despite the heat

Saturday 21 June saw over 130 boys and girls play table tennis in the 3rd edition of this tournament at the new Bankrashal in Amstelveen. In the warmest weekend so far this year, the entire hall was packed with no fewer than 24 table tennis tables. From 09.30 in the morning, six singles classes were played and four doubles in the afternoon. It was a fanatical but sporty affair, with many great rallies, especially in the highest class. At almost half past seven in the evening, the last ball was hit, after which a 1st and a 2nd prize were awarded for each class at the prize-giving ceremony.

Sunday 22 June it was the turn of over 130 ladies and men to also try to win a prize in 6 singles and 4 doubles classes. Here, too, there was much competition and exciting matches that more than regularly needed all five games to come to a winner. The singles finals started at quarter to seven and once again all prizes were awarded at half past seven. Super nice also that TTV Amstelveen could hold up the challenge cup for clubs for the second time.

A super successful tournament, partly thanks to the many nice reactions from participants and parents/guardians.

Mentioning all of them by name is almost impossible, but without tournament leader Rijko Kramer and
organiser Brian van den Heuvel, this tournament would not have taken place.
