A klaverjas evening was again organised by Mick and Gerard.
The Christmas klaverjas evening of last Wednesday, December 18, was once again a super fun evening.
The new canteen, which has now been decorated in a festive way, offers more than enough space for the 18 participants this time.
We were just short of filling 5 competition tables, so there were four game tables and three substitutes were used, thanks to Arjan.
After three rounds of play, Mick announced the results at 23:30.
The most surprising thing was that Sven, usually good for the top four, walked away with the booby prize.
Big winner and seasoned klaverjas player Douwe became the deserved number one this evening.
Followed by Brian, the best of the family members present.
Albert came in a neat third and Henk, who had climbed up from the middle, finished in an honorable fourth place.
All prizes were suitable to be consumed during the Christmas holidays and were warmly received.
We are thinking about making the prize table even more attractive/professional by asking for a small contribution for the now regular klaverjas evening.
