Well-attended Game11/ Butterfly NL Test Event

A successful and informative gear night at the Landtong

On the evening of Thursday 21 May 2026, we had a special guest at the club: Jelco van Grunsven from Game11 paid us a visit. In a corner of the playing hall at the Landtong, he had set up a great display featuring all sorts of table tennis equipment, from bats and rubbers to balls and shoes.

It was a dynamic evening. Many members took the opportunity to fit their old bats with brand-new rubbers, which Jelco expertly applied on the spot. An added bonus was that there were also plenty of bats ready and waiting to be tried out straight away in the playing hall. That way, you could immediately feel how the new material affected your game.

With so many different types of frames and rubbers, it’s sometimes hard to see the wood for the trees, but Jelco did a brilliant job of guiding everyone through all the possible combinations. As a result, there was a great turnout. Not only were our own members in attendance, but we also welcomed a number of enthusiastic players from ATC Bloemenlust who had come to have a look around and stock up on new equipment.

Afterwards, Jelco looked back on the evening with satisfaction. He emphasised that, for him, providing personalised and sound advice is really the main aim of such a visit. After all, the items can always be purchased later via the website (game11.nl), but thanks to the testing and advice, everyone now at least knows exactly what suits their gaming style best.

In short: a successful evening that’s definitely worth repeating!
