Youth Teams Finish Spring 2026 Season with Pride!
The 2026 spring competition has come to an end, and our youth section can look back with pride on a strong and memorable season. With four teams in action, there was plenty of effort, determination, and progress throughout the competition. Every player gave their best, and that gives us great confidence for the future.
The good news is that none of our teams were in danger of relegation.
And although there was no promotion this season, there are still many positive things to celebrate. Strong performances, clear improvement, and great commitment were the highlights of this competition.
Team 1 gains valuable experience in national competition
For Team 1, this was a very special season, as they played in the national competition for the first time. That was a big challenge, with strong opponents and many exciting matches.
Although Team 1 finished in last place, that does not tell the full story. In this very strong group, the margins were extremely small: with just 2 more points, the team would already have finished 4th.
Atharv and Lina showed impressive progress this season. Their development was clear to see and gives the team a lot of confidence for next year. If they continue this way, Team 1 can certainly aim for a higher position in the national competition next season.
Team 2 once again fights for the title
Team 2 once again competed in the 1st class and spent much of the season fighting for the championship. For a long time, they even held the top position in the group and looked like serious title contenders.
In the end, just like last season, they narrowly missed out on first place. The strong team from Ping Pong Alkmaar claimed the title with a lead of only 4 points.
Even so, Team 2 can be very proud of what they achieved. Elisa and Justin both made clear progress, and the team once again showed great balance and quality. Everything suggests that they will be challenging for the championship again next season.
Team 3 impresses in first season in the 3rd class
After strong results last season, Team 3 had the chance to play in the 3rd class for the first time. They took that opportunity very well and performed above expectations.
With a shared 3rd place, Team 3 showed that they fully belong at this level. Yichen, Roy, and Dhruv won many important matches, while Sebastiaan also showed clear improvement.
One of this team’s biggest strengths is their excellent effort in training. Their hard work is clearly starting to pay off. If this progress continues, they have every chance of fighting for promotion to the 2nd class next season.
Team 4 shines with excellent second place
Team 4 enjoyed a fantastic season. After one year in the duo competition, they played in the regular competition for the first time — and they did so in impressive style.
With two new players, Avyukth and Silas, the team gained extra strength and stability. Together, they helped deliver many strong performances and excellent results. In the end, Team 4 earned a superb 2nd place.
A special mention goes to team captain Aadi, who won all 24 of his matches. That is an outstanding achievement and something he can be incredibly proud of.
Here too, hard work in training is bringing rewards. Expectations for next season are already very high.
A season full of growth and promise
Overall, this has been a season full of effort, enjoyment, improvement, and strong performances. There may not have been a promotion this time, but the progress made by all of our youth players is very clear to see.
Players, coaches, team leaders, and parents can all be extremely proud of what has been achieved together.
