Competition update

News by  competition secretary Alex Brandt

Dear clubmates,

The current competition season is already approaching its end. Our Amstelveen teams perform excellently, both in the Seniors and in the Youth competition. Read on for more on this.

Would you also like to start playing competition or are you planning to stop? Let me (Seniors) or Guus Korper (Youth) know by December 1st!!!

NATIONAL (3rd division; Arjan, Ryan, Brian vd H, Brian B, Kaustav, Harish, Ali)
Next Friday, November 24 at 20:00h, our Amstelveen 1 will try to gain promotion to the 2nd division against SVE 2 from Utrecht. This requires a minimum win of 8-5.
Support is very much welcome, please come and ENCOURAGE them!!!

SENIORS
Amstelveen 2 (1st class; Ladi, Guus, Jeffrey, Ece, Wai-Lun, Ronald)
For a moment there seemed to be a chance of a championship, but currently the team with a strong playing Ece is in a nice 2nd place!

Amstelveen 3 (2nd class; Elias, Gijs, Sourabh, Keisuke, Makarand Machindra)
An exciting battle for the championship unfolds. These men currently occupy 3rd place in the group, but the top 4 are still quite close together!

Amstelveen 4 (3rd class; Harry, Marijke, Arkady, Martin)
They still need some points in the last away game, but they can smell the championship… come on!

Amstelveen 5 (4th class; William, Raymond, Viktor, Aset)
What a season, already a CHAMPION!!! Congratulations and good luck in the 3rd class!

Amstelveen 6 (4th class; Paul, Atie, Aravindhan, Waldo)
On course to sustain their place in 4th class!

Amstelveen 7 (4th class; Georgios, Serkan, Silvan, Crystle, Roy, Jeff)
A somewhat difficult start, but with a nice final sprint, sustain their place in 4th class is in sight! This is partly thanks to a strong performing Georgios.

Amstelveen 8 (5th class; Jaap, Wim, Gerard, Ben, Dnyanesh)
This team with experienced top players is currently in a respectable 2nd place!

Amstelveen 9 (5th class; Coen, Marco, Bob, Erast)
They have to fight for points, the team is second to last in the group. Hold on!

DUO
Amstelveen 1 (3rd class; Sergii, Andrei, Aset, Georgios)
For the first time duo competition and the 3rd class turned out to be a bit (too) tough. Better chances next season in 4th class?!

YOUTH
Amstelveen 1 (5th class; PengYu, Natasha, Ekin, Atharv)
Almost CHAMPION by force majeure!!! Of his 23 matches, Atharv has lost only one so far!

Starters 1 (Elisa, Dimana, Pengyu, Pengxuan)
Actually already a CHAMPION!!! With the He brothers still undefeated.

Starters 2 (Dhruv, Maurits, Ali, Reyansh)
There are still some points to be scored, but here too a championship seems imminent!

Starters 3 (Emre, Jonathan, Yichen, Bauke)
Difficult in a group with our own big brother/sister Starters 1, but still great matches and Jonathan often took the win!
