An evening of sportsmanship and enjoyment:
the board thanks the volunteers
The board of TTV Amstelveen has invited our club’s indispensable volunteers for a well-deserved thank-you on Friday 4 July.
This took the form of an enjoyable evening.
The evening got off to a sporty start thanks to our secretary Ben Rigter, who had set up a unique table tennis competition.
Each time, four enthusiastic participants competed against each other, each with their own table half to defend.
The balls flew across the table and the smiling faces said it all – a great way to loosen up the muscles and fuel the competitive spirit!
After the sporting efforts, it was time for drinks.
Drinks flowed profusely and over snacks, the ins and outs of the club were discussed. And then there is always plenty to discuss.
The evening ended with a delicious satay meal complete with bread and salads served by chairman Arjan Verburg. The atmosphere was convivial and everyone visibly enjoyed being together.
Although it was a very successful evening, unfortunately not all volunteers were able to attend.
The board would like to take this opportunity to once again thank everyone who is always so selflessly committed to our club.
