Successful Klaverjas evening

On Friday 11 April we had another fun evening of Klaverjas.
At 19:45 the canteen of our table tennis club was full and everything looked like we would be able to start with 5 tables this time. After counting everyone it turned out that we were just missing one player.

At 20:00 the starting signal was given and everyone immediately started playing Klaverjas to their heart’s content, here and there there were cries of enthusiasm and the first ‘pit’  was achieved. The organization offered refreshments throughout the evening and the tables were provided with drinks.
Edwin Boerop played sporty as a team with Mick Hage and Gerard van Buuren. Unfortunately, this team, partly thanks to the undersigned, did not manage to place among the best.

After three fully played games with a different partner each turn, the result was announced at 23:30 by digital artist Mick Hage.
All eyes were on the Easter-related prize table sponsored by the association and the first to be awarded was the booby prize, this time to our oldest club member and participant Jaap Boerop.
As champion of the evening, Albert Wichers was the first to pick his prize, followed by Jerome Stokkel in second place and Ruud van der Kolk, who finished third with a final sprint.

At midnight, most of us left for home after this successful and enjoyable evening. Unfortunately, four late-nighters were unpleasantly surprised by a broken elevator and managed to free themselves from the building after some trouble.

Thank you all for your enthusiasm and we hope to see you next time.
