Update autumn competition 2022 for junior members

The youth coordinator Guus Korper has sent the following email to all league playing youth members.
The schedules mentioned are not attached in this website article.

To all junior members playing in the autumn competition Table Tennis.

Next Saturday the autumn competition starts with 4 teams of TTV Amstelveen.
Unfortunately, Natasha Prashant has decided not to play in the competition this year. However, we are happy to announce that Kuzey Bozaci will take her place in TTV Amstelveen team 2.

Please find attached the latest update of the team schedules and the competition schedule of all teams.
We have made some changes compared to the earlier sent schedule because some people have indicated to be absent on certain dates. In the schedule you will see a red 0.

Joost (Mike’s father) has reported for the canteen duty before 1 October, thanks Joost.
In the blue column you find the teams that have to take care of the canteen staff on a certain date. Please discuss this within your team and let me know in time.

Each team has to provide its own transport for away games, so make clear with your team who can drive when.

I have also created a separate WhatsApp group for each team so they can communicate within the team through WhatsApp.

Unfortunately, I don’t have WhatsApp data from the following players yet:
Arthur van Zweeden
Ioana Nicorescu and
Siddharth Krishnamoorthy

Would you please mail them to me as soon as possible so that I can complete the groups.

Finally, I repeat the rules for the competition.

  • Always wear your club shirt
  • Be on time (at least 30 min. before the match). Players must be present earlier so that they and their opponents can play, and they can also help set up the tables.
  • Communicate clearly and in time if for any reason you cannot play
  • Behave in a sporting way and have respect for your trainers, coaches, and opponents
  • You play in a team, coach your teammates and encourage them during the game, don’t spend all your time looking at your phone or sitting in the canteen.
  • Communicate clearly and in time when you cannot play for whatever reason
  • If you are scheduled to play and you are unable to do so during the week in question, please let us know immediately so that we can arrange a substitute. This has to be arranged by the team captain, if he or she is unable to do so, they will contact Guus Korper.

Bar and hall duty during the youth competition
Because we have home games every Saturday this year, except for the free Saturdays, we will need to have better staffing of the hall and bar than in previous seasons.
The hall shifts will be done by the trainers, board members and experienced parent(s). For the bar services we will need volunteers in the form of parents of players. The schedule shows which team is responsible for the bar service.
The team arranges this among themselves and communicates it via WhatsApp to Guus Korper . We have a total of 16 players and there are 10 weeks of home games.
In principle, one parent must be appointed within the home playing teams to take on the bar duties.
Of course, the people who are on hall duty will assist in carrying out the bar duties. In the first schedule you will receive it says which team is responsible for the bar service, it is up to the parents to appoint 1 “volunteer”.

If there are any questions or remarks with regard to this email, please send me an email or call me on 06-20620000.

Good luck and have a great competition time.
On behalf of the trainers and the board
Guus Korper
