The competition of the youth players at TTV Amstelveen went wonderfully this autumn.
With four teams in the league, we were counting on at least one team to become champions.
In fact, things turned out much more positively.
Three of the four teams became champions, with the team that did not become champion being overtaken by another team from TTV Amstelveen.
Team 1 consisting of Aris, Aadit and Yavuz managed to win the championship in the 4th class in the last match despite a narrow 6-4 victory over Nieuw-Vennep.
Team 2 with Mike, Ekin, Kuzey and Arthur had a good season but were unlucky to be in one pool with Team 4.
Team 3, with Taha, Leon, Vrishti, Amrit and Pengyu, became champions in the 5th class B by force. Already two weeks before the end of the competition, the championship shirts could be taken out of the cupboard. This team trains extremely hard and it shows in the growth and results of all individual players.
Team 4 was surely the surprise of this season. Despite playing three matches with 2 instead of 3 players, this team became undefeated champions. Ioana Nicorescu was the captain and topper of this team, she managed to win 26 out of 27 matches. Sid, Aatish and the retiring Yohaan completed the team, which fortunately could be regularly supplemented by a number of substitutes from other teams.
The growth of TTV Amstelveen’s youth continues. At the end of January, the spring competition will start with no fewer than 7 teams, including 3 new teams in the starter league.
We are already looking forward to seeing how our youth continues to develop.
