🏓 Board Update – July 2026
Dear members,
With the summer holidays approaching, we would like to update you on a number of important matters within our club. Please take a few minutes to read the information below.
🏆 TTV Amstelveen Open: Another Great Success!
This year’s TTV Amstelveen Open Tournament was once again a great success. We have received many positive comments from both participants and visitors, and we are very proud of what we achieved together.
A special thank you goes to Brian and all the volunteers who helped organize the tournament. Your dedication, enthusiasm and hard work made this event possible. Thank you for making it another memorable tournament!
During the tournament quite a few items were left behind. If you are missing a jacket, water bottle, towel or any other belongings, please check the lost and found in the clubhouse. Your items may still be there.
♣️ Klaverjas Card Evening – Friday, July 10
On Friday, July 10, 2026, we will once again organize our traditional Klaverjas Card Evening, starting at 8:00 PM.
Everyone is welcome to join, whether you are an experienced player or simply looking for a fun evening. You can sign up with Gerard or Mick, or add your name to the registration list in the clubhouse.
We hope to see many of you there!
🏓 Summer Opening Hours
During the summer holiday period there will be no youth training sessions and no training by John.
This means:
the club will be closed on Wednesdays;
the club will also be closed during the usual youth training hours on Mondays and Thursdays.
Please check the club website for the current opening hours before coming to the club.
📅 Annual General Meeting
The date for our Annual General Meeting (AGM) has been set for:
Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 8:00 PM.
Please note that there will be no free play on this evening. The hall will be closed from 8:00 PM onwards due to the meeting.
We hope to welcome many members, as your involvement is important for the future of our club.
🔑 Closing the Club
Occasionally, the regular person responsible for closing the club may not be available. If you are the one closing the club, please make sure you complete the following checklist:
Check that all equipment in the clubhouse has been switched off.
Make sure all doors are properly locked.
Turn off all lights.
Check that the playing area is securely closed.
Return the key to the key safe.
Leave the building and activate the alarm before you leave.
Thank you for helping us keep our clubhouse safe and secure.
👥 Board Members Wanted
Our board is still not complete. We are currently looking for a Secretary and a General Board Member.
If you would like to contribute to the club or are simply curious about what these roles involve, please contact Guus or Arjan. We’d be happy to tell you more. Even if you would just like an informal conversation or to learn more before making a decision, we’d love to hear from you.
Together we can keep TTV Amstelveen a welcoming, active and well-organized club.

Good news for our 55+ group: the 55+ sessions will continue throughout the summer holidays according to the regular schedule. You are very welcome to keep playing during the holiday period!
