Guus Korper sent the following message on behalf of the board and trainers to the players in the new youth league:
Dear competition players for the “Spring 2024” season,
Here you’ll find the team assignments for the above mentioned competition. This year, we have a total of 5 teams, 3 in the regular league and 2 in the starters league.
Regular league games go down in a 3 versus 3 format, 10 games per round, lasting between 3 and 4 hours. Starter league matches are in a duo format, 2 versus 2, with 5 games total, running about 2 hours.
Teams are organized based on ratings and might get moved up a class by the league (in the regular league). Basically, we’re playing in groups of 6 teams, which means 5 home games and 5 away games.
The final lineup and schedule drop around the second week of January. Here are the game dates:
Round | Date |
1 | Saturday 27 January 2024 |
2 | Saturday 3 February 2024 |
3 | Saturday 24 February2024 |
4 | Saturday 2 March 2024 |
5 | Saturday 9 March 2024 |
6 | Saturday 16 March 2024 |
7 | Saturday 30 March 2024 |
8 | Saturday 6 April 2024 |
9 | Saturday 13 April 2024 |
10 | Saturday 20 April 2024 |
Important stuff for the competition:
- 1.The team captain (or the captain’s parents) needs to create a WhatsApp group for players and team leaders. In this group, you can chat about matches and connect with the youth coordinator.
If you want, we’ll share the mobile numbers of the team members. - The team captain (or the captain’s parents) needs to make sure the NTTB game app is filled in and confirmed for each match.
- For home games, we’ve got a club representative present, so make sure to be in club gear at least 15 minutes before the game starts.
For away games, the team is responsible for arranging transportation. Do this in advance and use the previously mentioned WhatsApp group for coordination. - For home games, one parent needs to take a shift in the snack bar. Once the schedule is out, we’ll create a schedule for snack bar shifts.
- If someone can’t play on their scheduled day, give a heads up to Guus Korper well in advance. If you’re sick the week of the game, try to arrange a replacement via your group chat.
If that doesn’t work, only then contact Guus Korper through the same app. - Always behave in a sportsmanlike manner and motivate/coach your teammates.
- Got questions? Email them to jeugd@ttvamstelveen.nl or ask one of the coaches.
Let’s make this season a winner!
