Update senior competition 2025 / Survey

Message by our competition secretary Alex Brandt

Dear senior club members,

The Spring competition ’25 has now ended, the final standings are attached. Our Amstelveen teams performed well. Unfortunately, two relegations (Amstelveen 3 in the 2nd class regular competition and Amstelveen 3 in the 3rd class duo competition), but also two championships!

Our flagship Amstelveen 1 (Arjan, Ryan, Kaustav, Harish and Ali) became champions in the 3rd division. This means that next season there will be 2nd division table tennis to admire in Amstelveen!

Amstelveen 6 (Micha, Jo, Atie and Paul) also became champions in the 4th class. This was led by Micha who only lost two of his matches and finished with a percentage of 91%!

Don’t forget to take a look on our website  regularly for the latest club news.

>>> Want to play competition (again)? Or do you plan to stop? Complete the survey or let me (or Guus Korper) know by June 1st !!!

Preparations for the Autumn Competition 2025 have now started. The playing schedule is attached to this email. Do you want to play competition (again)? Sign up as soon as possible! Before the 15th of June, the teams must be finalized in the administration system (NAS) of the national table tennis association, but for the national divisions already May 18th at the latest!

Survey Autumn competition ’25
To make an inventory of everyone’s plans / wishes for the coming season, we would like to ask you to complete a survey. Guarantees are of course not possible, but we’ll do our utmost to take your preferences into account.

The questionnaire can be found here, please fill out before Monday, May 26th.

Regular competition
  • The club is only entitled to places in a class on the basis of the results of the teams in the Spring competition
  • Teams may consist of max. 6 players, with exception of the last team of the club
  • Playing schedule (regional) starts on September, 8th and ends on November, 29th
Duo competition
The duo competition is a separate competition in which the matches are shorter (only 5 sets, 2x two singles and 1x doubles).
  • Teams may consist of max. 5 players, with exception of the last team of the club
  • If a player also participates in the regular competition, it is not allowed to play in a lower class in the duo competition
This competition can be of interest to members who in example:
  • do not want to participate in the regular competition now, because the matches end late
  • want to play a match more than once a week
Vriendelijke groet, Best regards,
