On Sunday 23 January, I left from Amsterdam Zuid to Grave NB where I picked up my colleague referee to drive together to Düsseldorf (Germany).
We arrived at 12:00 where we first had to undergo an antigen test: the tests were negative.
We walked to the Borussia Düsseldorf playing hall where the teams had already arrived for the match that I was to referee at 15:00:
Borussia Düsseldorf against Dekorglass Dzialdowo from Poland.
I had an assistant referee from Germany.
The final result was 3-2 for Borussia Düsseldorf.
Borussia’s players were Anton Kallberg, Dan Qiu, Kristian Karlsson and Sharath Kamal Achanto.
And the players of Dekor Dzialdowo were Wenliang Xu, Truls Moregard, Jakub Dyjas and Kamil Kurowski.
The quarter-final Champions League match lasted 3 hours. Afterwards we had dinner at the complex.
Around 19:30 we left for Grave where I brought my colleague home and drove to Amsterdam where I arrived around 22:30.
