Youth coordinator Guus Korper sent youth members and their parents an email about the spring league.
The schedules he gives in it have not been reproduced in this website post.
Dear parents and players of the Spring Competition 2024,
Firstly, the coaches and the board of TTV Amstelveen wish you a happy and sporty 2024.
The holiday break is over and training resumes on Monday, January 8th, with the competition starting on Saturday, January 27th. This year, we have 5 teams participating in the competition, consisting of 3 regular teams and 2 starter teams. You can find the schedule for these teams above. Please note that an ‘X’ next to your name indicates that you are scheduled to play, and a red box means that you have indicated unavailability on a specific date. This is a basic schedule; if you already know you won’t be available on a certain date, please inform us at youth@ttvamstelveen.nl so we can adjust the schedule accordingly.
Expectations for players in the competition:
- Display sportsmanship and always wear your club clothing.
- Attend enough training sessions and behave correctly during the sessions.
- Arrive on time for matches; being ready in the hall 20 minutes before the game is a minimum requirement.
- Follow the instructions of the court supervisors.
- Support your teammates by coaching and encouraging them.
- Assist, if necessary, with cleaning up the hall.
- Stay until the end of the match and don’t leave without notifying someone.
Expectations for parents and players:
- Each team has a captain (indicated in red on the schedule). The captain, possibly with their parents, should create a WhatsApp group for the team. This group will include contact numbers for all players and parents who wish to receive updates via the app, as well as Ben Rigter (0683621706) and Guus Korper (0620620000). This app is for match-related matters only; keep it free of jokes and humor. Use the following format for the group name: Spring 2024 Youth Team [team number]. If you still have a group from last year, please delete it.
- Install the NTTB app on your phone (info: https://www.nttb.nl/nttb-app/). In this app, enter the scores for home matches and confirm scores for away matches. If you’re unsure how to do this, ask one of the trainers. Failure to fill in scores correctly or on time may result in a fine from the NTTB, which will be passed on to the respective team.
- Each team has two mandatory shifts in the canteen per season, as specified in the schedule. Not the entire team but only one parent from the team needs to take on this duty. The team should coordinate this themselves. Note that the person on duty must be present at 09:45, even if the (starter) team only plays at 11:00.
- For away matches, at least one parent must accompany and, where possible, provide transportation for the team. Coordinate this through the team app.
- If you unexpectedly cannot play in the week of a particular match, first try to find a replacement via your team app. If that’s not possible, consult the schedules of other teams and find a substitute.
Just to clarify: all starters are allowed to fill in for any team (maximum 3 times), and players in the regular competition can only fill in for a higher-level team. Whether both 5th-grade teams can fill in for each other is not yet known, and you will be informed later.
It’s quite a list, and I may have forgotten something. If you have any questions or comments, please communicate with the trainers or email jeugd@ttvamstelveen.nl.
Wishing you all a fantastic season!
On behalf of the trainers,
Guus Korper
