Autumn League 2022 for junior players

The youth coordinator Guus Korper has sent the following email to all league playing youth members.
The schedules mentioned are not attached in this website article.

Competition
On Saturday 17 September this year, the junior competition will start. We are very pleased to announce that the number of junior teams participating in the junior competition has doubled.
Were we playing in the spring competition with 2 teams, this has now become 4 teams. Team 1 plays in the 4th class and teams 2, 3 and 4 in the 5th class. With this number of teams, we are now among the top 5 largest junior clubs in the region.
All games are played on Saturdays, home games start at 10:00 and last about 3 hours. The starting time of away games depends on the opponent.
All matches, results and standings can be found on our website or in the TT app.
For the away games, it must be known in advance who is responsible for accompanying the players and how the transport is arranged.

WhatsApp group(s)
We will create a WhatsApp group for ALL league players and their parents in which we only allow relevant communication to take place. It is nice and convenient if all teams also make a WhatsApp group per team so that they can keep each other informed of developments within the team.
I suggest that the captain or a parent of the team concerned manages this group.

For the league matches the following important rules apply

  • Always wear your club shirt
  • Be on time (at least 30 min. before the match). Players must be present earlier so that they and their opponents can play, and they can also help set up the tables.
  • Communicate clearly and in time if for any reason you cannot play
  • Behave in a sporting way and have respect for your trainers, coaches, and opponents
  • You play in a team, coach your teammates and encourage them during the game, don’t spend all your time looking at your phone or sitting in the canteen.
  • Communicate clearly and in time when you cannot play for whatever reason
  • If you are scheduled to play and you are unable to do so during the week in question, please let us know immediately so that we can arrange a substitute. This has to be arranged by the team captain, if he or she is unable to do so, they will contact Guus Korper.

Bar and hall duty during the junior competition
Because we have home games every Saturday this year, except for the free Saturdays, we will need to have better staffing of the hall and bar than in previous seasons. The hall shifts will be done by the trainers, board members and experienced parent(s).
For the bar services we will need volunteers in the form of parents of players. The schedule shows which team is responsible for the bar service. The team arranges this among themselves and communicates it via WhatsApp to Guus Korper .
We have a total of 16 players and there are 10 weeks of home games. In principle, one parent must be appointed within the home playing teams to take on the bar duties.
Of course, the people who are on hall duty will assist in carrying out the bar duties. The first schedule you will receive indicates which team is responsible for the bar service. It is up to the parents to appoint 1 “volunteer”.

Information evening
In principle we would like to organize a short information evening for the competition junior and their parents, to explain once more what the competition is all about. This applies particularly to the parents and junior members who will be playing competition for the first time. It is important that enough parents are present at this time.
My preferred date is Thursday 8 September. If you want to be present at such an evening, which will take a maximum of 1 hour, please register with your name at jeugd@ttvamstelveen.nl .

Competition schedule
In the enclosed attachment (not in this website article) you will find the schedule for the games, the bar and room service and the arrangement of transport. Please check it out carefully and respond to jeugd@ttvamstelveen.nl as soon as possible if anything is unclear or impossible.

We wish you lots of success in the competition.
On behalf of the trainers and the board

Guus Korper
